The S68 4.4L twin turbo V8 uses BMW DME9 with Bosch MG1CS221 engine management. That combination needs a dedicated unlock procedure before the ECU can be accessed for professional calibration.
The unlock is carried out on HDP professional equipment, which allows a tuner with the matching tool to subsequently read and write the ECU in bench mode. Remote start configuration can be retained where the donor vehicle supports it; tell us at the time of booking.
Compatible with MHEV and PHEV S68 applications in the G90, G99, G05, G06, G07, G09 and G70 platforms. ECU compatibility must be confirmed from the unit part number before processing.
Compatible ECUs: Bosch MG1CS221 (TC389), Bosch MG1CS221 (TC399), BMW DME9.
We are based in Australia. Same day unlock is available on supported units by appointment at our workshop, so there is no need to ship your ECU to Europe. If you are not local, you can mail the unit to us and we will return it by insured freight. We do not ship unlocked units to Europe.
Do not open the ECU or DME before sending it. Opened, water damaged or previously repaired units may not be accepted. ECU or DME removal and refitting are not included in this service. Confirm your ECU part number and production date with us before ordering, because the vehicle model alone does not determine what will unlock.
